a charity which helped alcoholics and their families. Later Terence worked for the Priory group of Hospitals.

He began with Priory in 1991 and within 5 years, rose to the level of Addictions Programme Manager; a position he kept until he left to set up his own private practise in 2006. Terence championed the importance of a professionally run addictions treatment programme and whilst today is in private practise still takes an active interest in the running of the Nova Vida programme to whom he exclusively sends his own patients who need residential treatment.

He has lectured to peers and groups of GPs/Consultant Psychiatrists about addiction, has had articles published in the press and has made radio broadcasts on both local radio and the BBC. He is a qualified counsellor on the United Kingdom Register of Independent Counsellors, is accredited by the
Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals and holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Studies. But while the qualifications are impressive the biggest asset Terence has is his compassion, understanding and knowledge.

Terence is Nova Vida’s UK based counsellor and facilitates aftercare from his Bromley practice for our UK patients. He conducts assessments in his area for Nova Vida and visits the facility regularly to keep abreast of the clinical developments and to provide locum cover when any of the counselling team are absent
